udith Zweiman has been an active part of the New York and Long Island music scene since the 1970’s. She has performed and recorded with a legion of singer-songwriters such as Christine Lavin and Martha Trachtenberg. A former faculty member of The Guitar Workshop of Roslyn Heights, Judith later became a fixture in the Greenwich Village songwriter scene of the ‘80’s. Judith has recorded numerous times for Fast Folk Musical Magazine. Her song, Heart on Ice was covered by Shawn Colvin and Lucy Kaplansky. Her solo CD release is entitled Look at the Moon. Her poetry and writing have been published in Creations Magazine, the Performance Poets Association Anthologies, and Arcanum.
ver the last 21 years, Judith has performed as a duo with Duane Michael Tucker. Together tonight, they offered a well-rounded set of songs from classic folk tunes to sardonic compositions, taking turns as soloists.
udith was a star afternoon performer on last Summer's Huntington Folk Festival, where she wowed the crowd.
e were pleased to have Judith returning as a featured performer on the Hard Luck Café stage after an extended and overly long hiatus of eight years. This was a great opportunity to enjoy again the talents of this exciting folk performer together with Duane Michael Tucker.
