Veteran songwriter and performer Josh Joffen brought his compelling and powerful songs to the Hard Luck Café in a return engagement. Josh's strong baritone voice and intricate guitar worked perfectly to support his thought provoking lyrics.
Josh has been influential in the New York scene; he has been featured in several Fast Folk Musical Magazines, and has won several top songwriting awards from the Kerrville Folk Festival. This was a rare Long Island appearance at our Hard Luck Cafe, and our audience was delighted by this eloquent and highly respected performer.

Jim Tepe is often described as a musician's musician. This highly entertaining performer has a working knowledge of numerous instruments as well as an encyclopedic repertoire of tunes. Jim shines in any number of musical styles ranging from ragtime to bluegrass, swing to blues, and just about anything else he applies his prodigious talents to!
Jim is a favorite among Folk Society audiences, and provided us with another memorable evening. We even learned how to talk dirty in Hawaiian !!!
